Pentecost Sunday

May 14th

Last night I was at home when suddenly I felt the sudden desire to stop what I was doing and go to St. Joseph’s and pray the rosary. I had no idea what time it was and glanced at my watch. It said XX:XX:33. I got in my car and drove to St. Joseph’s and arrived there at 10:13. I sat in the car and started to pray the rosary. Ray Sanders showed up while I was still in the 1st decade and joined me. We finished the rosary and the time was 10:33.

Ray then asked if he could get a ride with me out to Karen and Mick Major’s farm for the annual Pentecost Picnic and scheduled public apparition of Our Lady of Emmitsburg tomorrow. I told Ray that he could ride with us but I needed to ride to Leesburg to pickup Ted Szymanski at 8:30 am. I also told Ray that S.C.C. and I were scheduled to be Eucharistic ministers at the 10:30 mass at St. Mary’s and that’s why we needed to pick up Ted so early. Ray said he would meet me in front of St. Joseph’s at 7:30 tomorrow morning. Ray then got out of the car and I pulled out from St. Joseph’s and the CD counter flashed 33.

When I got up this morning I got ready to go pick up Ray so we could ride to Leesburg to pick up Ted. I do miss picking up Ted on a regular basis but now that we live here that is impossible. When I arrived at St. Joseph’s Ray was standing outside. I parked and glanced at my watch and the time was 7:33:13.

I walked in the church so I could say a few prayers before leaving and just as I entered my pew I felt the peace. I glanced at my watch and it said XX:XX:13. I said a few prayers about Our Lady’s apparition today and left. I glanced at my watch as I walked out of the church and it said XX:XX:33. Ray and I pulled out and at that very instant a car approached us from the opposite direction with the license plate of 13.

Ray and I rode to Leesburg and when we arrived at Wal mart Ted was there waiting. Ted was very surprised to see Ray. We talked for a few minutes and then left to ride back to Emmitsburg. At the very instant we pulled out I felt the peace and noticed the odometer was 1.3.

We rode back to my house and got ready to go to the 10:30 mass because S.C.C. and I were Eucharistic ministers. We started the car to leave and the time on the dash was 10:13. We arrived at St. Mary’s and I glanced at my watch as the car came to a complete stop and it said XX:XX:33.

We walked in the church and was very surprised to realize that we had mis-read the schedule. S.C.C. and I were supposed to have served at the 8 am mass. After mass I apologized to Fr. M___ for getting the schedule wrong. He said there was no problem and everything had worked out fine. I felt a feeling of relief and peace when he said that. I glanced at my watch as we walked out the door and it said XX:XX:33.

We then rode back to the house and S.C.C. fixed breakfast. It was nice having Ted at the house. I don’t get to see him that often anymore. Later the phone rang and it was Sr. Claire Mahoney saying she was running late and would meet us at the farm. I glanced at my watch and the time was 12:33.

A little later we left to go to Karen and Mick Major’s farm. We stopped at St. Joseph’s because I was supposed to meet my friend and co-worker Frank K and his family there so they could follow us to the farm. We arrived at St. Joseph’s and the time was 1:13. We went in the church and waited for Frank and his family to arrive. A few minutes later they showed up. We said a few prayers in the church. We did not leave until Fr. O’Malley turned out the lights in the church. I glanced at my watch as we walked out the door and the time was 1:33:00.

We then rode out to St. Joseph’s in Taneytown for a special Pentecost mass at 2 pm. The priest was Fr. Marty Fields. After mass we drove a few miles to the farm where the apparition of Our Lady was to take place. When we arrived and parked I glanced at my watch and it said XX:XX:13.

Frank was given the 3rd decade of the rosary and S.C.C. was given the 5th. When these assignments were made I suddenly felt the peace and glanced at my watch and the time was 3:33.

The rosary began and Our Lady came while Roberta Marziani was leading the 4th decade. She came at 3:57 after the 8th Hail Mary and the apparition ended at 4:02. Gianna repeated the message as Our Lady gave it to her.

After the apparition was over Michael Sullivan announced that the public apparition of Our Lady of Emmitsburg would now take place at the farm on the 1st Sunday of every month. There was a round of applause at this good news. Jim O’Brien then chanted the Chaplet of Divine Mercy.

There was then a Pentecost Picnic and there was a lot of food and people. When everything was over I asked Frank if he could drop Ted off in Leesburg on his way home to Fredericksburg but he did not have room in the car so I drove Ted back to Leesburg. I dropped Ted off and drove back to Emmitsburg. I stopped at St. Joseph’s to say a thank You prayer for such a wonderful day. I arrived at St. Joseph’s and the time was 9:13 and at the very instant the car came to a complete stop the CD counter flashed 3:33.

I prayed the Joyful mysteries of the rosary and when I finished I felt the peace. I glanced at my watch and the time was 9:33. As I pulled out the CD counter flashed 13. I drove home and at the very instant the car came to a complete stop the CD flashed 33.
