Feast of The Assumption of Mary

August 15, 2024

Over the years special feast days dedicated to Our Lady have become very powerful, special occasion days that I look forward to. All of them give me a feeling of peace stronger than I am able to describe. They bring me joy beyond  joy.

The Feast of The Immaculate Conception , The Assumption and each and every day dedicated to Mary The Mother of God is a day I never really learned to appreciate as much as I should have until attending the Thursday Night Prayer Group at St. Joseph’s in Emmitsburg.  Everything changed there and for the better! It was there that the 13, 33 and 333 sequence began happening to me which became crucial to me writing down and recording the events in Emmitsburg. Today was a little different as I will explain.

Normally on a Marian feast day I experience a multitude of events that in some way have a correspondence to the 13, 33 & 333 events that I have described in these papers over the years. Normally it will begin early in the day and continue all day. Today was very different.

I got up this morning and the first thing that ran through my mind was the fact that today is the Feast of The Assumption. S.C.C. is babysitting our granddaughter and won’t be able to attend mass for the holy day of obligation until this evening at St. Joseph’s. It was my initial plan to join her BUT it did not feel just right going all day having to wait for mass on such a special day.

Later in the day I rode to the Grotto of Lourdes to pray my rosary and just as I arrived I noticed mass for the Feast of The Assumption was about to begin in the Glass Chapel. I changed my plans and I attended the 11 am mass in the Glass Chapel. Fr. Cesar Ramirez, IVE was the priest. During mass I felt like this is not where I should be.

Mass ended and then I walked to the statue of Our Lady of Fatima which was my original destination to pray the rosary. I began the Joyful mysteries but it was so hot and humid that I moved back to the Glass Chapel to finish the Luminous, Sorrowful and Glorious mysteries.  I finished the rosary and something struck me. So far this entire day I have not experienced a single occurrence of 13, 33 or 333. NOT ONE!

I drove home and I felt somewhat alone. I fell asleep in the chair downstairs and S.C.C. came in and asked if I was going to mass with her at St. Joseph’s and I told her I had already been. Then SUDDENLY I felt like I should go with her.

I changed my clothes and got ready to go to mass again. S.C.C. and I arrived at St. Joseph’s just as a car parked in front of the church with the license plate of 333. We parked and as I got out of the car another car approached me with the license plate of 13.

We walked in the church and  it was disappointing to see such a few people there. The usher walked up to me and asked if S.C.C. and I would take up the gifts. I said yes. I glanced at my watch after saying yes and the seconds were 13.

It was a beautiful mass and Fr. Mariano was the priest. Mass ended and S.C.C. and I got in the car to leave and the time on the dash was 8:13.
